Sugar-free diet: a week of menus without added sugar

What are added sugars?

These are all simple sugars not naturally present in the food consumed. These are sugars that will be added during the preparation and manufacture of food. The sugars contained in fresh fruit and fruit juices (pure juice) are not counted among the added sugars.

What is the interest of the sugar-free diet?

The goal of a sugar-free diet? Eliminate white sugar from your diet. A more complex operation than it seems since sugar and added sugars are hidden everywhere in the daily diet. It is thus found in sweets and cakes but also in fruits… and even in certain foods that we would not have suspected of containing hidden sugars! Adopting the sugar-free diet requires adopting certain good reflexes such as avoiding prepared meals and industrial foods as much as possible and adopting healthier alternatives to replace sugar in your daily preparations. The best ? Prepare your menus in advance to be sure of what you put on your plate … without limiting yourself to bland and tasteless foods!
