Canadian SINGER Celine Dion is leaning on the support of her children amid a Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) diagnosis. SPS itself is a rare autoimmune neurological disorder. This condition makes a person feel stiff in the stomach and body muscles.

In a photo upload on his personal Instagram account, Dion admitted that this disorder was one of the most difficult experiences in his life.

“However, I remain determined to one day return to the stage and live as normal a life as possible,” he wrote alongside the photo upload, last Saturday (15/3).

In an interview with Vogue France, the 56-year-old singer was asked what helped her most as she faced the syndrome.

“The most important thing is the love from my family and children, and also the love from the fans, as well as the support from my team,” said the singer of the song My Heart Will Go On.

“People suffering from SPS may not be lucky enough or have access to good doctors and good treatment. “I have access, it’s a blessing,” he added.

From her late husband, Rene Angelil, Dion was blessed with 3 children. She is the mother of 23-year-old son Rene-Charlesdan and 13-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.

As written on people.com, on May 23 2023, a source said Dion’s son was a light for him when he had to cancel all tour schedules until April 2024 due to his SPS diagnosis.

“His main focus has always been on his sons and his acting. He is the most selfless and caring person,” said the source.

“Célene loves her children very much. They are amazing. They give her all the support and love she needs,” he continued.

Nearly a year later, Dion posed with her three sons in a photo she shared on Instagram to mark International Stiff Person Syndrome Awareness Day on March 15, 2024.

“I am so grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!” said Dion accompanying the photo in two languages, namely English and French. (Z-1)
