The American actor made this confidence to the adventurer Bear Grylls, while he participated in his show.

The show Access Hollywood got a clip from the show Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge (Into the wild with Bear Grylls), in which the 44-year-old opens up regarding the pain that has befallen him.

“Two years ago I had this super weird and rare form of vasculitis that affected my vision, hearing and balance,” he explains.

“You enjoy what you have until it’s taken away from you… I was like, ‘Will I ever get to see once more, will I hear once more, will this that I might walk once more?” I’m just happy to be alive.”

Ashton Kutcher says it took him over a year to fully recover.

He indicates that he did not allow himself to be affected by his illness and that he rather tried to come out of it “grown up”.

“The minute you see these issues as something that can help you, make you grow, life becomes more enjoyable. You dominate your problems rather than being buried by them.

Vasculitis is a rare disease that causes inflammation of the walls of blood vessels.

It is mainly caused by autoimmune diseases, more rarely by infections.
