Where love falls: Viennese Sascha (28) and Jacqueline (26) met on the dating platform Lovoo. After some writing back and forth, the two decided on Friday that they wanted to get to know each other better. Caution was advised because Jacqueline was heavily pregnant at the time. That’s why there was a spontaneous and cozy meeting at Sascha’s house on the same day. But instead of intensive discussions, there was a birth on Friday followingnoon around 5 p.m. in the Simmering apartment.
«We immediately liked each other and decided, despite the situation, to get to know each other personally. At home with me, Jacqueline suddenly wasn’t feeling well – she thought it was time,” said 28-year-old Sascha in an interview with “Today”. The young man responded with presence of mind and picked up the receiver. He alerted the Vienna professional rescue service, and a dispatcher on the phone gave the man instructions for obstetric care.
“You have to be very strong now”
“The rescue worker guided me step by step – suddenly Jacqueline pushed very hard. Then the dispatcher told me on the phone that I had to be very strong now,” said the Viennese. A short time later, Felix saw the light of day. But the infant didn’t move at first: “It was explained to me that I should stroke his face, his nose and his chest – a minute later he started screaming.”
Sascha and Jacqueline will probably never forget the incredible first date. The chances of a happy ending for the two are good: the first meeting was immediately followed by the next one – the Viennese accompanies the young mother to the hospital, among other things.
