The commander of the Sudanese army, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, appeared on Wednesday for the first time since the start of the Sudanese crisis among the soldiers of the ground forces.

According to a widely circulated video, the timing of which has not been confirmed, a group of ground forces soldiers gathered around Al-Burhan, raising signs of victory with their hands around him.

And last month, violent clashes broke out between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in the capital, Khartoum, and other places in the country, which had been suffering from tensions and convulsions in the recent period.

Al-Burhan’s first appearance since the fighting broke out

The country is witnessing clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, and there is fear of a broader conflict that threatens security in the country.

Two days ago, the Sudanese army commander issued a decision dismissing the director-general of the police, Lieutenant General, human rights police, Anan Omar.

Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan assigned Human Rights Police Lieutenant General Khaled Mohi El-Din, with the duties of Director General of the Police Forces in Sudan.

This came a day following Al-Burhan’s decision to dismiss Hussein Jangoul from his position as governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, and to appoint Borai Ahmed in his place.

Al-Burhan also froze the accounts of the Rapid Support Forces and its companies in all banks in Sudan and their branches abroad. The decision stipulated preventing the disbursement of any entitlements or budgets allocated for rapid support.
