Sudanese activists: 17 civilians have been killed in an assault on a village in Al-Jazeera state

Sudan – Sudanese activists confirmed yesterday, Saturday, that the Fast Assist Forces stormed the village of Asir in Al-Jazeera State (central), and killed 17 village residents, following they carried out Friday prayers.

The Wad Madani Resistance Committees in Al-Jazeera State reported, in an announcement, that the Fast Assist Forces stormed the village of “Asir in Al-Hush countryside,” in Al-Jazeera State.

The assertion added, “The Fast Assist Forces dedicated a bloodbath towards the residents of the village as they have been leaving the mosque following performing Friday prayers, and resulted within the deaths of greater than 17 individuals and a lot of accidents amongst residents.”

The assertion indicated that “main displacement has occurred among the many village’s residents.”

There was no remark from the Fast Assist Forces on the incident or the accusations towards it, as of 20:20 (UTG).

Final Tuesday, Sudanese events and activists accused the Fast Assist Forces of killing 10 civilians within the city of Al-Huda, on the island.

On June 14, the Sudan Docs Syndicate introduced that 22 civilians have been killed and tons of injured in villages east of Sennar State (south), because of an “assault by the Fast Assist Forces.”

Since mid-April 2023, the Sudanese military, led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Fast Assist Forces, led by Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), have been combating a battle that has left regarding 15,000 lifeless and regarding 8.5 million displaced and refugees, in accordance with the United Nations.
