A plane of the French forces, leaving from El Fasher, arrived this morning in N’Djamena (Chad) within the framework of the evacuation operations carried out from Sudan.
This new operation made it possible to evacuate from Sudan staff members of the United Nations and humanitarian NGOs.
The Ministry for the Armed Forces and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs organized this operation, in close coordination with the United Nations.
Since the beginning of the evacuation operations, France has proceeded, by the means of its Armed Forces, to the evacuation of more than 1,000 people, including 216 French nationals and dependents.
France reiterates its appeal to all parties to stop the fighting and return to political dialogue.
