SUCRE | Mejía Municipality celebrated the Day of San Antonio de Padua

The city of the Mejía municipality, within the state of Sucre, celebrated this Thursday, June 13, the day of its patron saint, San Antonio de Padua.

The streets of San Antonio del Golfo have been traversed within the conventional manner by the Pedro Elías Gutiérrez Band, who to the rhythm of cannon music and rockets introduced the beginning of the festivities.

An emotional solemn mass, led by priest Daniel Yendi, priest of the San Antonio de Padua Parish, along with a bunch of younger believers in God, was held in his honor.

The mayor, Jordan Sifuentes, within the firm of his Authorities Cupboard and the Municipal Chamber of Mejía, have been current on the spiritual occasion.

“It’s a day of pleasure for all Sanantoñeros. A day of religion and religiosity. Immediately we ask our patron saint for blessings and good well being. We’re completely happy as a result of we’re in union,” stated the native chief.

After the priest’s blessing, attendees participated within the conventional supply of “blessed bread of Saint Anthony of Padua.”
