Sad fact regarding health insurance companies which are sources of profit on the backs of insured persons! A perfect example of a revolting economy that allows a billionaire to pay the same basic insurance premiums as you and me!
To support my point, here is the salary of health insurance executives by year, published in the NZZ June 30, 2022. From 482,684 and up to 955,247 francs. What will it be for this year 2023? Executive salaries? The attendance fees of the members of the board of directors (65,000 francs per year?) and, icing on the cake, approximately 10 billion in reserves totaled by the Swiss health insurance funds.
At the very least, a 7% to 9% increase for many people and we, the Swiss people, accept such a scandal? There is reason to be indignant, to show just anger. What aberration, what shame, there is no word to describe the unspeakable!
It seems to me that the words of Pastor Martin Luther King, spoken before his assassination, are more relevant than ever. I quote: “We must learn to live together like brothers, otherwise we will all die together like idiots.”
Let us not be lulled by certain holders of power who think only of their interests and attack social insurance: 2nd pillar planed by the conversion rate, refusal of indexation of pensions, front once morest the initiative in sight a 13th AVS pension.
There is neither left nor right that is worthwhile, the only solution is an equitable sharing of wealth. When?
