In a press release, WWE claims its recent visit to London was successful.

Last Friday’s Smackdown Episode and Event Money in the Bank took place at 02 Arena. Both nights were very lucrative for WWE.

Money in the Bank was the highest-grossing event in WWE history at an arena, while Smackdown was the highest-grossing event since that show’s debut.

The two nights brought in the tidy sum of $5.4 million for WWE at the box office, not including merchandise sales. Viewership for Money in the Bank was up 17% over last year.

Interviewed by Kevin Hart during his Hart To Heart, John Cena revealed his first salary in WWE. The 16-time world champion remembers that he only won $12,000 per year on his first contract and that his rent was $1,000 a month at the time…

Here’s what Cena revealed:

“My first contract with WWE was $12,000 a year. I quit my job the day I signed. I think my rent was $1,000 a month. So all my money went into my rent. My father answered me:

“Oh, that’s amazing. It’s gonna be awesome, I can’t believe it. »

Even today, he is very proud. »
