Successful search operation in Braunau: Missing senior citizen found unharmed

The elderly lady is said to have left the nursing home in the Braunau district around 3 p.m., the nursing staff notified the police at 5:20 p.m. Four police and one service dog patrol went in search of the 87-year-old, but without success. After consultation with the Braunau district authority, a large-scale search operation with a helicopter, the Red Cross search dog squadron and the Maria Schmolln and Schalchen fire brigades was initiated following an hour. 45 rescuers were deployed.

A short time later, the elderly woman was found lying behind a tree in a sloping part of the garden of the nursing home. Luckily she was unharmed and responsive.
