Dr. Sharif McCain announced the agent Ministry of Health In Dakahlia, on the success of a medical team from the Department of Kidneys and Blood Vessels at El-Sinbellaween General Hospital in installing the first permanent catheter for a dialysis patient, appreciating the efforts of the staff involved in the operation and the hospital administration.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Baily, Director of the Kidney Department, revealed that all requirements for the operation were provided at the state’s expense, pointing out that the operation will be the beginning of providing a service for installing permanent catheters for dialysis patients at the Sinbellaween Center and neighboring centers to alleviate the suffering of dialysis patients.
Dialysis catheters are among the important and indispensable means for conducting dialysis sessions, and permanent catheters are distinguished from regular ones in that they are lower in rates and risks of infection transmission, and the patient can use them to perform dialysis for two or three years, compared to a month in the normal one.
This comes within the framework of the instructions of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health, and the directives of Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, Governor of Dakahlia, to raise the level of medical services provided to citizens and alleviate the suffering of patients.
