Successful drone taxi flights in South Korea too

It has successfully tested its flagship flying taxi ‘EHang 216’, which transports passengers from one place to another in crowded cities. This time the air taxi has been flown three times.

This air tourism enhancement and executive service ride is fully electric and fully automated and autonomous. E-Hang has been tested in South Korea, where it has received formal safety certification for the first autonomous air taxi. Two passengers can sit in the test flight cab. It has been flown in the South Korean city of Ganjan in a test.

But the specific destinations for the three flights were identified by the South Korean government, but the e-Hang taxi service will start in the next three to five years. The first flight took off from Manhattan in Seoul and reached the main commercial and business district.

The second test noted its performance in an emergency for which the city of Daegu was chosen. The flight carried medicine and fire extinguishers and the experiment was also a success. In the third flight, E-Hang 216 was flown to coastal areas and other places in the city, which can be called a recreational flight.

It has 16 petals arranged in eight pairs. These propellers surround the entire cabin. It has a maximum speed of 130 km per hour and can cover a distance of 100 km on a single charge.

South Korea’s aviation authority has said it will determine air routes for E-Hang in the future.

But it should be noted that many companies in America and Europe are working on air taxi.
