The international quality assurance agency confirmed at the end of September evalag After an extensive evaluation process, the high quality and continuous development of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences in the areas of teaching, research and administration. The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences is legally obliged to do so every seven years Audit for certification of their internal quality management system in accordance with Section 22 of the Austrian University Quality Assurance Act (HS-QSG). The international team of experts comes to the conclusion that the organizational development process that the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences started in 2020 was “carried out carefully and with the best possible participatory involvement of all stakeholders (…) The QM department is active and strongly involved in the efforts involved in streamlining and stabilizing internal processes (…) There seems to be an open, familiar atmosphere between students, teachers and administration, with low-threshold feedback and exchange opportunities The inclusion of master’s students in research projects, topic-oriented research groups and also the two Josef Ressel Centers “as the pinnacle of priority research” as well as the FH’s internal research funding were also perceived positively. The experts had an “extremely positive picture” of the ongoing or planned further training offers. The experts were also able to convince themselves that the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences “has created suitable processes and structures for quality assurance in administration and uses useful instruments.” Recommendations that have yet to be made will flow into the university’s continuous improvement processes and quality management .
