It may be recalled that when Zong tested 5G, it also advertised it, prompting the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to ask the mobile network company to withdraw and stop its 5G advertisements. It was also ordered.
According to the PTA, Zong was only allowed to test 5G, not to make the service public. Also, last year, PTA had asked the Senate Committee for 2 more months to submit a complete plan for 5G, clarifying that it would take 4 to 5 years to start the service in Pakistan.
