Zacatecas, Zac.- Students and teachers from the Academic Unit of Human Medicine and Health Sciences attended the XXV National Meeting of Morphology, whose headquarters was the Pablo Guardado Chávez University, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas.

The student representatives of the UAZ obtained six medals, including first place in a presentation in the category of scientific, basic and clinical review and literature review with a topic related to body donation programs in the state for the benefit of the study and improve medical practice, this was announced by the Human Medicine teacher, Diego Cano Sánchez.

In addition, – he said – a collaborative work with the University of Quindío, Colombia, two second places in scientific works on posters and a second place in clinical research presentation, presented by him on behalf of the Biopreservation Laboratory, were awarded.

“With these indicators and the awards we bring home we realize that in these competitions we come out ahead and not only in the academic part, but also in sports.”

The student of the third semester of the Bachelor of General Medicine, Mónica Lozano Nungaray, described this participation as “a unique experience”, since she had to present her topic in front of other students of more advanced degrees from other universities such as the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, but he always had the backing and support of teachers and colleagues.

For her part, María Victoria Gutiérrez Juárez, obtained first place in the three-kilometer race, in the female student category, in addition to being the substitute for the Embryology exam, just over 100 runners participated in this event, including teachers and students. .

I highlight that in these sporting events they had the opportunity to live with students from other universities and run in a park in Chiapas, in addition to the fact that the prize consisted of books that will be used for their academic training.

The young women thanked their teachers, doctors Héctor Rosales, Diego Cano, William Ortiz, as well as their classmates, parents and family members who always support them.
