In the chaotic cityscape of Rome, the year is 2011, and the city is on the brink of collapse. Political institutions face an imminent crisis, the Vatican is rocked by scandal, and the streets are buzzing with the unsettling presence of chaos. In this scenario, the underworld thrives, with Cinaglia (Filippo Nigro) trying to consolidate the Samurai legacy, while, alongside Badali (Emmanuele Aita), he oversees the criminal activities that permeate the entire capital.
The established order, however, faces resistance. Cinaglia’s power is challenged by new protagonists determined to upset the balance in Rome. A revolution is underway, seeping from the halls of the Church to the tumultuous shores of Ostia. The mission is clear: erase everything linked to the past.
In this intricate scenario, Spadino (Giacomo Ferrara) emerges as a crucial figure. Faced with the imminent destruction of his family, he is forced to return home and forge unlikely alliances. The plot unfolds with Adelaide (Paola Sotgiu) and Angelica (Carlotta Antonelli) leading the Anacleti family, and Nadia (Federica Sabatini) helping with transactions in Ostia.
In the war that breaks out, the cards are thrown, and domination over Rome, once once more, is at stake. “Eternal Suburra” promises to take viewers through a labyrinth of betrayals, unexpected alliances and intense confrontations, as the characters seek to assert their presence amid the turmoil taking place on the streets of the Eternal City.
Eternal Suburra premieres on Netflix on the day November 14.
