Authoritarians don’t like this
The practice of professional and critical journalism is a fundamental pillar of democracy. That is why it bothers those who believe they are the owners of the truth.
“The Office of the President repudiates the slander and insults formulated by the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Spain, Óscar Puente, once morest Javier Milei”stated the Office of the President following the statements of the Spanish official.
At the same time, the statement emphasized that “Pedro Sánchez’s government has more important problems to deal withsuch as the accusations of corruption that fall on his wife, an issue that even led him to evaluate his resignation.
“For the good of the Kingdom of Spain, We hope that justice acts quickly to clarify such a corruption scandal that directly affects the stability of your Nation and, consequently, the relations with our country,” they published on the official account of the Executive.
Next, the Government questioned the Spanish president for having “endangered” the unity of the Kingdom and for leading his country to “dissolution”.
There was also strong criticism once morest the immigration policy of the Spanish government and the “socialist” measures that, according to the statement, “they only bring poverty and death”.
To conclude the response to the minister’s statements, the ruling party compared the political model currently applied in Spain with Kirchnerism.
““We Argentines choose to change the model that brought us misery and decadence.”, they stressed from the libertarian environment. “The same model that the Spanish Socialist Workers Party applies in its country. We hope that the Spanish people will soon choose to live in freedom once more,” they closed.
Due to the “hostility” of Javier Milei, Argentina plummeted in the press freedom ranking according to a global report
What the Spanish minister said regarding Milei
The official’s explosive statements occurred within the framework of a meeting organized by the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE).
In this context, the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Spain recommended to the young people present to “be themselves.”
Before specifically mentioning Milei, he suggested that “There are very bad people who, by being themselves, have reached the top”.
Next, came the allusions to the libertarian leader and also to Donald Trump: “I don’t know if they will have advisors… Milei, of course, if she has advisors, I think she doesn’t listen much”.
The minister finally stopped at the figure of Javier Milei and said that he saw him on TV before the presidential elections. So referred to the alleged “ingestion of substances” on the part of the libertarian, who during the electoral campaign was characterized by a euphoric style. “I said: ‘It is impossible for me to win the elections’”said the head of Transportation. These were the statements that motivated the Government’s reaction.
