Byron Estuardo Chinchilla Pointan was sentenced to 99 years and 8 months in prison, the Public Ministry (MP) reported this Friday, April 5.
Authorities found him guilty of the crime of murder and attempted murder once morest four people, this following the investigation carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office once morest the Crime of Femicide.
The incident for which he was convicted occurred on February 25, 2023, in zone 18 of the capital city.
There, along with his co-participants, Chinchilla arrived at the residence of his victims and shot at least 14 times.
The MP reported that three people died at the scene of the attack and one was injured.
Chinchilla Pointan was detained in operations in June 2023 during operations.
On that occasion, the National Civil Police reported that the now sentenced man had a history of the crime of robbery dated May 12, 2012.
