Actress Kwon Da-hyun met actress Seo Hyo-rim’s family in Hawaii.
On the 25th, Kwon Da-hyun wrote on her social media, “It was nice to be together.” The photo released together shows Kwon Da-hyun, Mithra Jin of the hip-hop group Epik High, and Seo Hyo-rim and Jung Myung-ho. The two couples are seen having a meal with their children.
It was announced on the 22nd that Morning Glory F&B, a processed food distribution company, filed a complaint against actors Kim Soo-mi and Jung Myung-ho on charges of embezzlement and violation of the Act on the Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. In its complaint, Morning Glory F&B claimed that Kim Soo-mi and Mr. Jeong sold the brand trademark rights to third parties without permission on approximately 10 occasions between 2019 and 2020, earning a profit of 560 million won. It is also reported that Kim Soo-mi claimed that the expensive gifts she gave to her daughter-in-law when her son and Seo Hyo-rim got married, the house deposit or monthly rent, and Kim Soo-mi’s home shopping broadcast coordination fee and geomabi were treated as money from her company.
In response, Kim Soo-mi’s mother and son began to refute the claim. They claim that they were sued in retaliation when they first sued the representative of Morning Glory. On the 23rd, attorney Jang Hee-jin of Garojae Law Office, who represents Soo-mi Kim and her mother, said, “This case is a case in which CEO Myung-ho Jeong filed a complaint against Mr. Song of Morning Glory Co., Ltd. to the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul in November 2023 on charges of forgery of private documents and events, embezzlement and fraud. Regarding the judgment that Mr. Song was registered as CEO through forgery of private documents, he applied for a suspension of the execution of his duties at the Mokpo Branch of the Gwangju District Court, which has jurisdiction over Morning Glory, and is awaiting a court decision. Recently, Mr. Song filed a complaint against Soo-mi Kim and Myeong-ho Jeong. He then claimed, “It is a matter suspected of being reported to the media.”
He continued, “Mr. Song has repeatedly requested that the criminal complaint against him be withdrawn, but when Kim Soo-mi and Mr. Jeong did not comply, we believe that he attempted to abuse the fact that Kim Soo-mi is a celebrity to embarrass the media and sway public opinion. Mr. Song is one-sided. He claimed, “We will also strictly hold you liable for defamation if the press discloses the facts of the complaint, which are just claims.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Jeong has served as an internal director since 2018, when Morning Glory F&B was established, and as CEO since March 2021. He was dismissed by a decision of the board of directors in November of last year, and remains as a director. Mr. Jeong and Seo Hyo-rim got married in 2019 and have one daughter. It is known that Jeong and Seo Hyo-rim are currently staying in Hawaii.
