Hello, I am a housewife living in Seoul for 12 years. I have been dating for 10 years and married for 12 years. I am living with my husband who has been with me for half my life and our two beautiful daughters who are like a blessing. Last year, we bought our first house entirely on our own.

As I was very interested in interior design, I naturally started doing home styling. Decorating and organizing my house is my greatest joy these days. It seems like I had a lot of fun decorating it, especially since it is a house with a great view beyond the window.

This house where my family lives is a 33 pyeong apartment. In fact, we had a good opportunity to move to the upper floor of our previous house. Even following moving, I was able to adapt well without any unfamiliarity as the neighborhood had the same line and was located on a higher level.

The charm of this house is the open city view. I decided to move in because I really liked the view beyond the living room and the south-facing lighting.

When starting the interior design, I think it will be easier if you start with a clear concept of your own home. I think this is probably the most important part.

When I had trouble choosing furniture or accessories, I always chose white. I’ve purchased colored furniture a few times, but ended up painting it white. So, when in doubt, we recommend choosing white and adding accents with accessories.

As the house was being completed, I felt a little burdened by the fact that the house was so white. I came up with the concept of a white but cozy house that was white with regarding half a spoonful of wood.

Also, in addition to large furniture, tidy up messy and small luggage so that they are not visible. I believe that all items can be kept neat and tidy if they are properly placed in their proper place following use.

As I was doing interior design, the house became increasingly white, which surprised even me, who prefers white. So I wanted to decorate the living room into a cozy and warm space. Most of the props were chosen in warm tones, and little accents were added with wood.

The focal point of our living room is the arched space. It was created by expanding the space that was originally a veranda. It goes well with the city view outside the window, right?

Also, the ceiling of this expanded space was higher than the living room, so it was difficult to hang curtains. I had a lot of concerns because if I hung it from the ceiling inside the curtain box, the butterfly folds of the curtain would not be visible and I would have to add 20cm in length.

I happened to find a curtain rail bracket with adjustable length and purchased it. I am very satisfied with this item because it allows me to hang curtains by adjusting their length on high ceilings without having to shorten the curtain length.

I placed plants here and there to decorate the living room without being too overdone or boring.

Among the furniture in the living room, the one I was most worried regarding was the sofa. I was worried regarding ‘which sofa to choose’, so I decided to visit several showrooms and sit on it in person. As I put a lot of thought into it, I feel the greatest satisfaction and reward.

Because it is modular, it was the perfect product for me who likes change. I’m always thinking of new structures by placing the sofa in various structures. This modular sofa is perfect for creating a different atmosphere in your home.

As I mentioned earlier, since the house is white, I wanted it to feel cozy rather than cold. So, all lighting used daylight white downlights rather than daylight, and bulb-colored halogen was used for indirect lighting. Then, even though it was a white house, I was able to create a very warm atmosphere.

For my little child who is only 5 years old, this room is a paradise of toys big and small. By organizing bulky toys in cabinets and organizing small toys in drawers and storage boxes, the child’s room became tidy. The wall not captured by the camera contains a five-row, three-tier bookcase.

Next is my 10-year-old daughter’s room. The younger child’s room is separated from that of the older child, and the older child’s room has a desk, bookshelf, and bed. With a single bed and head cushion, it becomes a bed at night and a sofa during the day.

We also hung a perforated board in front of the desk to organize school supplies. I wanted to decorate it a little prettier, but in reality it ended up being a student’s room.

It may seem very boring because it is a child’s room and there are no toys, but this room is home to four lizards, a guppie friend, a betta fish, three stag beetles, and two black and white snails. I am a 10-year-old girl who loves animals so much. Greetings from lizard Walnut, Yomi, Tangyul, and Roxy. These babies are as big as my daughter’s palm.

So far, I’ve shown you the living room and the children’s room in our house. Although it is a clean ‘white’, I decorated it with a focus on ‘coziness’. Thanks to this, a home for four families where they can relax comfortably with a great city view has been completed.
