Studying in Ramadan took place for the first time in 14 years… He explains, “Is it an obligation or a choice?” • Al Marsad newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: The educational consultant, Muhammad Al-Thubaiti, said that the last academic year in Ramadan was 1428 AH, that is, 14 years ago, stressing that attending this year in Ramadan is “a duty and not an option.”

Al-Thubaiti added during a program for the “120 Program”: the entire current generation, from the primary level to the university level, did not study in Ramadan in person.

He continued, “The new academic system in the Kingdom is divided into 3 semesters, and now the month of Ramadan has occurred in the third semester, which is divided into 14 academic weeks, including the last two weeks for exams, and thus only 12 weeks remain.”

He continued: “The study in Ramadan consists of approximately three and a half weeks. If we cut it from 12 weeks, we will have 9 weeks left, which is the actual study in this month.”
