students injured in a collision between their bus and a truck

It is in front of the chip shop of Trois-Ponts, in the center of the locality, that an accident occurred this Tuesday a little before noon. It involves a truck transporting wood and a school bus transporting pupils from the Malmedy establishment of the Athénée Royal Ardenne-Hautes Fagnes.

“There were injuries, very light, because of the shards of glass, children”, we are told at the Stavelot-Malmedy police zone which sent a team on the spot, like the Eiffel police. 112 also sent help.

All of this is confirmed by the management of the Athénée Royal Ardenne-Hautes Fagnes, which posted a message on its Facebook page to inform the parents of these third-grade students.

“On the way back from the swimming pool, our bus had a collision. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, ”reassures the school director, Sonia Layouni.

She specifies that the students are supervised by the teachers and the emergency services within the swimming pool of Trois-Ponts.

“We’ll let you know as we go so you know if you need to pick up your child from Three Bridges Pool or school,” she continued.

Finally, around 1:30 p.m. the school informed the parents that their children would be brought back around 2:30 p.m. to the Athénée in Mamedy. If the accident certainly caused a great fright in these children and their teachers, it seems that it caused more fear than harm.
