Students from the ESRDL Art-Studies program will present Mamma Mia

And it is a large-scale production that will be presented on June 1 and 2 at the Center Culturel Berger, when the famous musical Mamma Mia, inspired by the greatest hits of the group ABBA, will be played, sung and danced by some 130 students passionate regarding drama and music. In total, 5 performances, performed by 3 different casts, will be offered to the public. An ambitious project for which a lot of effort has been made to offer an unparalleled experience to artists, but especially to spectators.

“There is a feverishness, there is an excitement; the students are eager to have a direct reaction from the public, this exchange of energy, of adrenaline, these little butterflies that we feel, it’s just on stage that we can… you can feel that,” explains, with undisguised enthusiasm, the teacher and coordinator of the Art-Studies program, Julie Gamache.

For their part, performers say they are excited regarding this return to the theater which will allow them to deploy their talents, as Abigaêl St-Jean and Élie Thériault point out: “Well, it allows us to live our passion while singing and dancing. We’ve been working on this for a really long time, and it’s fun to be able to do that”.

Tickets are on sale at a cost of $5 for schoolchildren, $10 for students and $15 for adults.
