Students from different schools in Bariloche participated in the first commission corresponding to the “Councilor for a day” program. The meeting took place in the Sarmiento Popular Library room and was chaired by councilor Gerardo Ávila who explained the nature of the meeting and highlighted the commitment of the young people.
The students presented details of the projects they are working on, together with the “tutor” councilors of each of the blocks of the Municipal Council, who guide and coordinate the task linked to the preparation of the proposals.
The young people Vicente, Nuria, Thiago, Lola, Joaquín, Rocío, Alén, Santiago, Luis, Mercedes and Agostina exchanged points of view and concerns regarding each of the initiatives: trenching and casing for the El Frutillar neighborhood, haptic plans of the city with references in macrotype and Braille, a mobile application on urban passenger transport, the revaluation and transformation of the Cerro Carbón urban natural reserve and the visualization of artists with disabilities as workers, doers and spectators.
Next Tuesday a new commission will be held with the second group of projects. Then, in a special session, all initiatives will be put to a vote.
In this edition of Councilor for a Day, the schools Ceferino Namuncurá, Colegio Tecnológico Sur, ESRN Nº 20, Instituto Superior Patagónico, Secondary School for Youth 3, Escuela Cooperativa Los Andes, Don Bosco, Amuyen and Crearte participated.

In this case, They know and participate in the processes of preparation and sanction of regulations by the Municipal Council«.
