Telemundo 44 asks for discretion, as some may find the images disturbing.

A fierce fight caught on camera inside the hallways of a northern Virginia high school sent a student to the hospital with a concussion, and now parents are demanding safety measures.

The fight started before school started at Riverbend High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia on Tuesday morning.

Several students can be seen throwing punches. The video then cuts to two students, as one of them throws another teenager to the ground, where he remains motionless.

He had suffered severe head trauma, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

“It’s just been fight following fight,” said the mother of a ninth-grader who says violence has been a problem all school year.

Authorities filed charges once morest eight students involved in Tuesday’s fight, including malicious wounding, gang assault, and assault and battery. Additional charges are possible.

Although the video focuses on the boy who was slammed to the ground, in the background, several students are punching and grabbing each other’s necks.

“My son saw others in chokeholds, hanging themselves,” said a mother who believes not enough is being done to stop the fighting.

The campus notified families of what happened and said it is taking disciplinary action once morest the students in addition to the criminal charges from the sheriff.

Additional officers were at the school Wednesday to increase security.

The Sheriff’s Office says at least two of the eight students charged Tuesday were involved in a fight at school following a basketball game Friday.

In an email to parents, the school district said it received multiple reports Wednesday of threats to student safety at school, but none of the threats were credible.

Officials urge families to report any safety concerns.
