The student who ran off the roof of Vindicat on the Grote Markt on Thursday morning has died. She succumbed to her injuries in hospital on Friday.
“We are completely devastated and have no words for this great, heartbreaking loss. At this time we are in deepest mourning and we also want to express our condolences to all those for whom Justine is so dear,” according to a statement from the association.
Vindicat has declared official corps mourning. The society’s flags are hanging in mourning position and dozens of people have laid flowers in front of the building’s facade, including mayor Koen Schuiling.
Flowers were also laid in front of the Vindicat building all day on Monday.
