A young student was arrested this Wednesday on the outskirts of Dallas (Texas, USA) for going to his institute with two rifles in his vehicle, the Richardson Police Department reported.
The arrest occurred a day following a young man shot dead 19 children and two teachers at an elementary school in the town of Uvalde, also in the state of Texas, one of the deadliest shootings in an educational center in the United States. .
Richardson Police received a call at 10:55 a.m. local time (3:55 p.m. GMT) alerting that a young man was walking with a rifle towards the Berkner Institute, so several officers went to the scene.
The young man was located inside the institute but was unarmed, local police explained in a statement.
However, in his vehicle, parked near the institute, an AK-47 rifle and an AR-15 were found, for which the student was arrested for the state crime of carrying weapons in a school zone.
