Stryd kicks off a new, more accurate sensor for runners

Fight commercialisation a new generation of its sensor appreciated by athletes wanting to analyze and finely guide their races. For this new version, which always attaches to a shoe, the manufacturer promises in particular a responsiveness multiplied by five, with the key being a more precise indication of the intensity to better manage the race.

Additionally, the next-generation Stryd introduces Impact Load Rate, a new metric that helps track lower body stress to help tune recovery and maintain performance. Added to this are new running profiles as well as sprint data recording.

If it looks like its predecessor outwardly, the new sensor nevertheless benefits from a revised and corrected design: it is supposed to be more resistant thanks to its casing made of 100% fiber materials and to hold better to the shoe thanks to its clip redesigned.

This new Stryd is on pre-order at €269. Deliveries will take place in early November. The sensor has a app Apple Watch to inform the runner in real time regarding his performance. Advanced features require a subscription at €9.99/month or €99/year.
