Véronique, 52, from Vilvoorde, is at her wits’ end. While her partner died last March, the Belgian continues to pay her telephone subscription with the operator Telenet, which has still not canceled it. “In January, I subscribed to a One for Two subscription for my partner and me, which means that we each have a telephone subscription in my name,” she explains to our colleagues at RTL Info.

But in March, Véronique lost her partner. She therefore took steps with the operator to cancel the latter’s subscription. “I went to the store, the advisors looked at their system and told me that there was a bug, that there was something that was not activated and that as long as this thing was not activated , they didn’t know how to do anything,” explains Véronique. He was then told that in a week maximum, the problem would be resolved. But six months later, the Belgian was still paying her partner’s subscription.
“I called dozens of times, I filled out the online form, I went to the store I don’t know how many times,” the fifty-year-old despairs. Following this, the Belgian brought the TV and internet equipment back to the store and took out a subscription with the competition, who also failed to cancel the telephone subscription. In the meantime, Telenet responded briefly to Véronique, explaining that the procedure was taking “a little longer than expected”. For six months, Véronique continued to pay 120 euros per month!
