Strong winds caused quite a jitter in downtown Montreal on Wednesday night as a window of a building under construction fell from the 34th floor.

The incident occurred on Jeanne-Mance Avenue between René-Lévesque Boulevard and Sainte-Catherine Street.
Workers were nearby, but fortunately no one was injured.
“I heard a very, very loud noise. We were in the parking lot, so we came to see what had happened. I saw a big window on the floor. People were really lucky!” says a witness.
The police set up a security perimeter in the area.
In the evening, winds reaching 85 kilometers per hour were recorded at Montréal-Trudeau airport.
