Part of the roof of a crèche blew off on Friday followingnoon in Waremme, in the province of Liège, said the Hesbaye rescue zone. The waremmiens firefighters were called to intervene, Friday shortly before 2 p.m., in a crèche on rue du Rêwe. Due to the strong gusts of wind that blew over the Hesbignon capital, the roof of the establishment partially blew away. Evacuation of the building was not necessary and no one was injured.
Hutois firefighters have also been mobilized since the beginning of the followingnoon on Friday, mainly in Condroz, due to bad weather, the rescue zone said. The first calls were recorded on Friday around 1:00 p.m. They mainly concern trees and branches that have fallen on the roads or become entangled in electric cables, due to the strong gusts of wind that blew over the region. Anthisnes, Ferrières, Marchin, Modave and Ouffet are the main municipalities in the province of Liège which are affected by these interventions.
