Six Luxair flights, six Ryanair flights and four Volotea flights are canceled on departure and arrival at Luxair airport. The reason? A call for a strike by the National Union of Air Traffic Controllers (SNCTA), in France, this Friday, September 16. The French air traffic controllers are demanding an increase in salaries and a reinforcement in the workforce.
French air authorities estimate that around a thousand flights will be canceled. Not to mention the foreign flights that pass through France. Even if a minimum service is planned, French and European air traffic will therefore be severely disrupted.
At Findel, Lux-Airport has already identified the canceled flights
on its website
. The Luxembourg airport manager remains cautious all the same, stressing that this list of 16 canceled flights might still change during the day.
According to the rules in force, the passengers of the flights concerned have been warned by the airlines.
