Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has ordered strict implementation of one dish in marriage ceremony across the province.
The 6th meeting of the provincial cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Maryam Nawaz, in which it was agreed to include more patients in the free cancer medicine project in Punjab.
Apart from this, it was also agreed to give 10 billion seed money to the Central Business District Authority for the establishment of Nawaz Sharif IT City.
In the meeting, the Punjab Cabinet approved in principle to restore the supply of free medicines for cancer patients and issue Nawaz Sharif Kisan Card.
In the cabinet meeting, the proposal to give direct cash subsidy to small wheat farmers was reviewed. Maryam Nawaz said in the meeting that all the resources of Punjab are available for the farmers, they cannot allow Aarthi and other middlemen to exploit the farmers.
The meeting was told in the briefing that Saudi Academy from Riyadh is also ready to open a campus in Nawaz Sharif IT City, 10 towers will be built in IT City, twin towers will be built immediately.
He said that Nawaz Sharif IT City will be launched in May. Besides, the Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to create a pool of qualified professionals from various fields.
In the meeting, funds were approved for the financial assistance of the people affected by the landslide in Parina village of Murree, under which Rs 10 lakh per household will be given.
It was also approved to set up a high-level committee to deal with smog and to delegate the powers of enforcement of Section 144 to the Deputy Commissioner in Punjab.
