Strépy drama: the driver’s lawyer is considering asking for his release!

Just a month ago, while the carnival pick-up in Strépy-Bracqueniers was taking place, a BMW rushed at high speed on the procession present, killing six people and injuring twenty people, ten of them seriously.

Since then, the driver Paolo F. has been in prison, he who had been placed under an arrest warrant for manslaughter and involuntary assault. While his passenger had been conditionally released, but charged with failing to assist a person in danger.

According to our colleagues from Sudinfo, his lawyer, Me Discepoli, will request a postponement from the Council Chamber this Friday, in order to have more time to analyze the file and consider a request for release. Indeed, the chamber is meeting this Friday with a view to extending or not the arrest warrant for Paolo F. for a period of one month. It therefore remains to be seen whether Me Discepoli’s request for postponement will be accepted or not.
