Strépy drama: for Mattia Imperiale, Paolo Falzone’s call is “one more spit in the face”

For Mattia Imperiale, lost three relatives on March 20, his dad, his aunt and his uncle, it is the straw that broke an already full vase. “It’s one more spit in the face!”, he expressed himself on social networks. “One day, we will have to talk regarding the mental burden and the suffering suffered by actions, thoughts, behavior, decisions and speeches and the enormous lack of respect for officials and their representatives. They are killing us mentally, once once more.

Very harsh words that echo a tense situation from a mental point of view. “We will also have to talk regarding the various legal proceedings and these council chambers which take place every two months bringing with them a constant apprehension as each fateful date approaches, knowing that the decision which will be taken might finish us off. I am obliged, once once more, to speak up to express what I feel when, believe me, I preferred to stay in my corner. I won’t talk regarding the horrible lack that perpetually crosses my body, stress and fatigue, I consider that this should remain in the private sphere but even that, I am prevented from doing it. Not two days go by without a new element, a new press article, yet another provocation or the like coming to us.

A situation that makes him ask a lot of questions, all without answers… “How dare they appeal? How dare they express themselves and imagine what it feels like? How can they try to make believe that an electronic bracelet is worth prison and that it will not change anything for us? What do they know regarding it? How am I supposed to react? I do not know. All I know is that once once more, we are not respected and that one day or another, we will have to be accountable!

In the meantime, the appeal lodged this Thursday by Me Discepoli, Paolo Falzone’s lawyer, relates to the decision to keep his client in prison and the request for the granting of the electronic bracelet. The file should be examined within a fortnight by the indictment chamber. Be still distressing moments in perspective for Mattia, his family, as well as for the relatives of the other victims.
