And it was known that the Special Justice for Peace, JEP, identified the lack of human, technical and budgetary resources of the National Institute of Legal Medicine in this region of the country, as an obstacle in the search for missing persons.
In response, it issued an order to the Governors of Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío and Valle del Cauca to develop comprehensive care plans for victims of said scourge.
These plans aim to achieve memory and truth, including support and cooperation with the entity to overcome deficiencies related to locations, equipment and supplies.
This contribution seeks to strengthen the technological infrastructure of the institute, facilitating the identification and dignified delivery of the bodies of the victims of the conflict exhumed in the municipalities of Magdalena Caldense most strongly affected by the armed conflict, including Victoria, Norcasia and Samaná.
With this initiative, the Government reaffirms its determination to actively contribute to the search for truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition. This important step reflects the continued commitment to building a just and resilient society.
