MINISTER of Manpower Ida Fauziyah opened the 2024 Ministry of Manpower Sports Week (POR) in the yard of the Ministry of Manpower office, Jakarta, Friday (2/8/2024), in the context of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
Not just a competition event, the 77th Ministry of Manpower POR is also a means to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and improve the physical fitness of all employees.
“In the midst of busy work, it is important for us to take time to exercise, maintain health, and build synergy between employees in this ministry,” said Ida Fauziyah.
There are five sports that are participated by hundreds of Kemnaker employees. The five sports are badminton, basketball, futsal, chess, and table tennis. Not only those five sports, this event is also enlivened with various competitions such as walking and tug of war.
Sports, according to Ida, teach the values of discipline, cooperation, and sportsmanship. These values are in line with the work spirit at the Ministry of Manpower to improve worker welfare, create a safe, conducive work environment, and develop competent and competitive human resources.
“Let us together explore our strengths. Let us increase our capacity and capability to face every change with a proactive attitude. Now, more than ever, we need innovation, creativity and resilience,” he said.
The Minister of Manpower invited all employees to show the spirit of sportsmanship, togetherness, and solidarity. “I congratulate you on participating in the Ministry of Manpower Sports Week. Hopefully this event will be a success and provide great benefits for all of us,” he said. (Z-3)
