Strengthening Coal Quality and Quantity Security, PLN Nusantara Power Collaborates with the Indonesian Army

JAKARTA, Waspada.co.id – PLN Nusantara Power as the largest power generation subholding in Southeast Asia, signed an agreement with the Indonesian Army National Army (TNI AD) in terms of assistance and training in receiving and testing coal.

This cooperation was signed on Wednesday (12/4) by the Main Director of PLN NP, Ruly Firmansyah, with the Territorial Assistant to the Army Chief of Staff, Major General TNI Mochammad Hasan.

The purpose of this collaboration is to maintain the supply of fuel for power plants, strengthen the security of vital electricity objects, and maintain the reliability of electricity supply in Indonesia.

This agreement will also support electricity infrastructure development activities within the limits of the responsibilities, authorities, capacities and competencies of the PLN and the Indonesian Army.

Responding to the establishment of this strategic inter-agency synergy, PLN NP Finance Director Dwi Hartono, conveyed that the commitment and support from the Indonesian Army can add to PLN NP’s enthusiasm to illuminate the motherland with a sense of security.

“Through the joint support of the Indonesian Army, we believe our efforts to provide quality electricity will run more safely. We are greatly helped by the presence of TNI AD personnel in every process of receiving and testing the coal we obtain. Hopefully, with this synergy, the electricity supply that we produce can be used sustainably,” said Dwi Hartono.

Kasad Territorial Assistant Major General TNI Mochammad Hasan in his remarks expressed his gratitude and appreciation for PLN NP’s trust in the TNI AD Institution to continue cooperation in mentoring activities, receiving and testing the quality and quantity of coal at 7 PLTUs owned by PLN NP in Java and Sumatra.

“The Indonesian Army always fully supports the efforts of state-owned institutions in providing services and specialization, in this case PLN Nusantara Power, to produce quality electricity for the people of Indonesia. We will oversee and protect the PLTU owned (PLN NP) so that it is always safe from interference from other parties so that people can enjoy the bright flame of electricity,” explained Mochammad Hasan.

The scope of this agreement includes assistance in various processes which include: the Coal Acceptance Preparation process; the Initial Draft Survey process by the Surveyor at the PLTU location; Coal Sampling process at the PLTU location; Final Draft Survey process at PLTU location; Coal sample preparation process at the Coal Testing PLTU location.

The support and cooperation of the PLN and the TNI AD creates a good synergy, especially related to assistance by the TNI AD and in accordance with Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the TNI, namely one of the main tasks in military operations other than war is to secure strategic national vital objects. .

The seven PLTUs are PLTU Nagan Raya (Aceh), PLTU Sebalang (Lampung), PLTU Indramayu (West Java), PLTU Rembang (Central Java), PLTU Pacitan (East Java), PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar (East Java), and PLTU Paiton 9 (East Java). (wol/rls/d2)
