Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Children and Adolescents will reinforce the actions of the Immediate Response Device – DRI Calle, by incorporating a vehicle, loaned by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, within the framework of the inter-institutional agreement and a specific act.
The document was signed by the Minister of Children and Adolescents, Walter Gutiérrez, and the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Mónica Recalde Giacomi.
The head of the Ministry of Children expressed his satisfaction with the signing of this agreement, which strengthens a sensitive area of the MINNA, which is the approach and monitoring of children living on the streets.
Gutiérrez indicated that with more resources a better service can be provided to citizens, in this case, it is for the use of the #RedVests (as the DRI team named them) that add one more tool for the development of work on the street.”
Increase in human resources
He also stressed that the DRI Calle has more human resources, “we have 8 more people, and thus we increase to 50 officials with the same budget,” said the head of the Ministry of Children and Adolescents.
Several State institutions have cross-cutting axes with children and adolescents. In this case, the MTESS has an area to combat child labor, of which the MINNA is a part through the National Commission for the Prevention and Eradication of Child Labor and the Protection of Adolescent Labor (CONAETI).
For her part, Minister Mónica Recalde said that it is an honor to be able to collaborate with a Ministry that has very sensitive areas, in this case with the DRI, which does the work of addressing street issues. To the extent that they have tools to improve protection actions, the MTESS will be cooperating, she stressed.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the Vice Minister of Comprehensive Protection of Rights, Eduardo Escobar Said, as well as the directors of the Cabinet, Rodrigo Segovia, and of Childhood and Adolescence of the Ministry of Labor, Laura Díaz Grütter, among other guests.
Then the mobile phone bearing the emblem of the MINNA Immediate Response Device DRI Calle was received.
