Degnis Mazo, eventual economics director of the Caroní Mayor’s Office, said this Friday that the peddlers on Chipía Street in the center of San Félix must start following a schedule.

In other words, the municipality granted them the permit only on the day with removable posts.

He pointed out that the reason for the transfer is due to the fact that informal vendors violate the regulations, in relation to noise pollution, health and order, since there is a municipal coexistence plan, which has a series of rules that they must comply with. .

“They spent the night there (Chipía) 24 hours a day with cars inappropriately and left the site in poor condition, this affects both the hotel and the nearby residential complex,” Mazo asserted.

It should be noted that since last July, the municipal government ordered peddlers to be evicted from the main corridors of the center of San Félix, due to the city’s beautification plan.

Other relocations

Mazo assured that there are plans to relocate informal workers from other areas, such as those located near the San Félix market, as well as in Chirica and Unare.

Also kiosks in the city, “this is a joint plan with colleagues from Works, Secretary of National Security,” he added.
