Street Fighter VI: what is the Extreme Battle mode?
Today began the Tokyo Game Show: an event that collects many conferences from mainly Japanese publishers. This followingnoon, the publisher Capcom came on stage to reveal its plans for the games in its catalog. In addition to the Resident Evil franchise, which is making a resounding return, and the expansion Sunbreak of Monster Hunter Rise which has been dated, Capcom has also decided to return to Street Fighter VI. In a video of around four minutes (to watch at the top of this article), the publisher returned to the different game modes.
First of all, it returns to the mode World Tour where players can create their own avatars. Extensive customization that promises a repertoire of unique special moves thanks to the encounter of masters like Ryu and Chun-Li in the story mode while equipment will vary the style but also the attributes of his character. They also took the opportunity to announce a mode named Extreme Battle which risks upsetting the classic parts:
The new Extreme Battle mode is coming to the Fighting Ground to offer a new way to spice up matches with original alternatives. These fast-paced, frantic battles are defined by new rules and factors that make every match a unique experience. The rules define the conditions of victory for the players, and the additional elements of the decoration, like a raging bull which interrupts the match sporadically, will come to spice up the meetings.

Capcom also seized the event to fill the cast with fighters, probably the main concern of the players who are waiting for their favorite characters. After recently announced Juri and Kimberleythese are the flagship fighters of the license who are preparing to make their comeback: Ken, Blanka, Dhalsim and E. Honda have been presented and will join the roster.
Unfortunately, no release date has refined the vague 2023 which we should expect to see the game arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and PC. However, a closed beta phase will take place from October 07 to 10, 2022 on PC and next gen consoles.
