Street Fighter 6 has finally revealed itself in new images during this new State of Play. Surprise functions are waiting for you.

Street Fighter 6 made a surprise entrance during the last State of Play this Friday, June 3 with an impressive CGI trailer. The opportunity to find the charismatic Ryu, Chun-Li and Luke, the last DLC character of Street Fighter 5. The long-awaited last part of the saga developed on Capcom’s RE Engine expandsa major novelty: an open world. It would indeed seem that the game will offer a complete story mode, like Mortal Kombat 11 and will propose to progress in an open area visibly inspired by large American cities and called Metro City. This should serve as a hub between two fights. The game has two new modes in addition to the modes present in previous titles: World Tour, a kind of “immersive single-player story experience” as well as an online Battle Hub.

Alongside the classic commands, also rely on so-called “modern” controls that allow simplified actions. In terms of pure combat mechanics, the game is enriched with the Drive System, a gauge which is used to execute five distinct techniques.
