Game News Street Fighter 6: Capcom plays the humor card and reacts to fighting game leaks

Scheduled for 2023, the sixth canonical episode of the Street Fighter series was unveiled in the form of a hard-hitting trailer a few days ago. Taking advantage of State of Play, Capcom’s upcoming fighting game is shaping up to be one of next year’s attractions. It must be said that several sequences puzzled the spectators of the event, starting with a hub suggesting that the title will have an “open world” approach. The Japanese publisher had thus planned to reveal the elements gradually, but the meanders of the Internet wanted it otherwise…
Ryu and all his clique may be getting older, but they are still essential figures in video games. Highly anticipated, Street Fighter 6 will offer a very rich gaming experience if we are to believe the first information disclosed by the Japanese publisher. The Fighting Ground will thus bring together classic modes such as Arcade mode, online games, Training and even local multiplayer. The World Tour will be similar to a solo experience (a priori innovative) while the Battle Hub, undoubtedly the most enigmatic, will take the form of a community system. But there’s something Capcom didn’t expect…
The entire Street Fighter 6 cast on the run!
Ah, the video game and its ruthless universe. While the Japanese publisher probably had a calibrated communication plan, he was surprised by a leak which he would have done well. The entire roster, in other words the cast, has suddenly been revealed on the web! According to the information leaked on the network Resetplayers can play as: Ryu, Ken, Zangief, Dhalsim, E. Honda, Blanka, Guile, Chun-Li, Cammy, Dee Jay, Rashid, Juri, Ed, Akuma, Luke, Mari Za, Jamie, Mimi, Lili, JP, Kimberly and AKI In total, there are essentials of the license, but also and above all no less than six completely new protagonists!
Needless to say that this leak must not have been to Capcom’s taste, but the publisher preferred to bet on humor and expressed itself through a funny tweet.
As residents of Metro City, we’ve all seen things we weren’t supposed to see, but we’re all in this together. We appreciate all the positive reactions. Thank you for the support!

The tweet is short and to the point, but it’s mostly near-confirmation that the leaks are anything but fakes. We must therefore expect to put tatanes with some historical characters (with a few more years), but also newcomers who will have their say. Looking forward to the next info!
Street Fighter 6 will be released in 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series and PC.
