Street Fighter 6: a demo is available on PS5 and PS4, soon on Xbox Series and PC

Street Fighter 6 is eagerly awaited by fighting game fans. The game will launch later than usual since franchise titles usually arrive early in their respective release year. Meanwhile, Street Fighter 6 will be released on June 2, 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and PC. To keep players waiting, Capcom has provided a demo of the game.

The Street Fighter 6 demo is available to download now from PlayStation Store for PS5 and PS4. Xbox and PC players will have to wait a bit longer, though. The demo will only be available from April 26 on Steam and the Microsoft Store.

Street Fighter 6 demo gives access to part of World Tour single player mode

Capcom announced the good news during the Street Fighter Showcase, a virtual event where the developer showcased gameplay, fighters, customization, World Tour mode, and more. The sixth installment of the franchise also brings several new features such as visible injuries on the fighters as the fight progresses.

The game will notably have new accessibility features like the ability to auto-attack with the press of a button. By the way, arcade sticks won’t give you an advantage in Street Fighter 6. Gamepads like the PS5’s DualSense will be just as effective.

If you want to try Street Fighter 6 before its June release, the demo provides access to part of the World Tour mode. You will also be able to create a custom avatar for this mode. This avatar will be transferred to the final version of the game provided that it is the same platform as the demo. As Capcom explained, ” Explore the world of Street Fighter and chart your own course as the protagonist. This avatar is an extension of yourself, taking the path you decide ».
