The September update for Xbox, Microsoft’s video game console, comes with many new features. Among the main ones is the expected possibility of transmitting or streamear a game from the console to the Discord platform. Variable refresh rate (VRR) is also updated for Series X|S versions, pairing new accessories, among others.
Desde Xbox a Discord
With a simple “transmit your game” from the Xbox panel you can share the experience with friends via Discord. To be able to do this, you must first link the console account with the social platform. Then, in the parties and chats section of the dashboard, a new “stream your game” option appears once you’re connected to a Discord server. It allows you to customize the transmission quality and the function coincides with the launch of “Starfield”.
However, this Discord streaming feature is only one-way, that is, it is not possible to see streams from PC friends who are streaming on Discord.
VRR Update
Variable refresh rate update, for Xbox Series X|S consoles, allows you to choose to enable VRR only when you’re in game mode or always on. This improves the experience on entertainment apps that don’t always work well with VRR.
To enable the feature, on the Xbox Series X or Series S console, go to General > TV & display options > Video and then select the VRR dropdown menu. There you can choose between “Always on”, “Only games” or “Off”.
pair accessories
Finally, a very comfortable novelty is the possibility of easily pairing new accessories with the console. Without getting up from your chair, from the Xbox you can press the “pair” button and connect the device you want to add.
