After a first announcement in 2020, Stray took advantage of the last State of Play to reveal more and displays its release date as July 19, 2022, digitally, and exclusively for consoles on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but also on PC via Steam. Today is through a press release that iam8bit, Annapurna Interactive, Skybound Games, BlueTwelve Studio and Just For Games have collaborated to announce that Stray will indeed be entitled to a standard physical edition, exclusively on PlayStation 5. Including a set of six color art cards with the image of the Stray universe, everything will be available from September 20, 2022, for the price of €39.99.
But that’s not all because the press release also opens pre-orders for all physical editions, including for the exclusive ultra deluxe version via iam8bit website. Available on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 and displayed for $44.99, this special edition includes a poster depicting the first image of Stray’s iconic teaser in addition to the six illustrated cards, not to mention a chenille patch of the game’s logo to decorate your backpack. Everything is carefully packaged in an elegant black holographic pouch.
