In what has arguably been a great year for indie games, Stray took first place at The Game Awards 2022.
Annapurna Interactive’s ambitious cat-driven title has won the hearts of many across the world. With smooth mechanics, brilliant storyline, and stunning art direction, Stray has cemented itself as one of the best games of the year. Less than six months from release, the game has now scored a win at TGA 2022.
The alley cat-centric video game “Stray” won Best Independent Game at the Game Awards in Los Angeles.
The producers of “Stry” first received the award for Best First Indie Game from actress Jessica Henwick at the ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and then they received the award for Best Independent Game.
In this game produced by the French company Blue Twelve, the animal roams an underground city inhabited by humanoid robots and strange creatures, and must, using a drone, solve a series of puzzles to return to the surface.
The game is available in copies dedicated to the PlayStation and the Steam platform.
Not only did Stray attract a large number of human players, it also impressed cats. And the “Cats Watching Stray” account on the social network reached 36 thousand followers, a page that monitors the most bizarre reactions of cats watching the adventures of the heroic cat.
