Yesterday was the State of Play, and as you might see if you stayed awake during the night, we had the right to many surprises, starting with a release date for Stray, the game cyberpunk where you embody a cat.

Stray will be on its feet this summer

We expected it and yet, we are still happy that our wishes have been granted! Straythe game that surprised everyone when it was first announced in 2020, took advantage of the last State of Play to show off and, better still, announce a release date…

Unsurprisingly, the recent rumors were therefore true! The cyberpunk title offering players the opportunity to roam a gigantic metropolis while embodying a cat will be available from this summer, and more precisely from July 19, 2022. In other words, it will happen quickly.

The concept of this game, which was originally titled “HK Project”, was dreamed up seven years ago by Koola and Viv, the co-founders of BlueTwelve Studio. It’s amazing to think that it’s now a fully-fledged game, and players around the world will soon be able to discover and enjoy it. The development took time, and we learned a lot along the way. Among the many difficulties and discoveries of this project, the creation of an interactive chat was clearly the most complicated task! Swann Martin-Raget, producer at BlueTwelve Studio

Stray “free” for subscribers to the new PS+

The other good news regarding Stray is that the title will also be offered! Indeed, on June 23, players will be able to subscribe to the brand new PlayStation Plus which will offer three types of formulas: Essential, Extra and Premium. Players who subscribe to the Extra program or the Premium program will therefore leave with Stray in their hands.

As you may have seen in today’s State of Play, we are delighted to announce that Stray will also be available for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members upon release. Swann Martin-Raget
