As you know by now, Monday’s WWE RAW saw Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez claim the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles by defeating Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
Trish was replacing WWE Hall of Famer Lita, who was eliminated earlier in the night in a backstage sneak attack. After the match, a disappointment that Lynch and Stratus embraced, but Stratus attacked Lynch as she walked away. Stratus then hit Lynch with a Chick Kick and made his exit as the fans booed.
Stratus was rumored to have turned on Lynch at the release of WrestleMania 39, presumably to set up a match between the two, and we now know that Stratus vs. Lynch is on the books.
However, fans who were hoping to see Stratus vs. Lynch at next month’s WWE Backlash special in Puerto Rico will have to wait as a new report from the Wrestling Observer notes that Stratus vs. Lynch is not expected to take place until SummerSlam, the biggest show following WrestleMania.
SummerSlam is scheduled for Saturday, August 5 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
Stratus vs. Lynch will be Trish’s first singles match since losing to Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019, aside from live event matches.
No news for the moment concerning Lita and the future of the Hall of Famer with her run which seems to have stopped very suddenly.
